As one of the leading specialists for industrial biotechnology in Europe, we primarily support companies in the food & beverages, health & life science sectors as well as companies with environmental-related issues.

Our product portfolio includes several hundred enzyme products and other ingredients primarily for the food and beverage industry and the life sciences industry.
R&D and Bioprocess Development
We develop tailor-made innovative solutions for specialty enzymes and other proteins and develop bioprocesses for large-scale production.
Who is behind the Group?
The parent company of the BRAIN Biotech Group is BRAIN Biotech AG, headquartered in Zwingenberg, Germany. The companies and sites belonging to the "BioProducts" division are subsidiaries or operating sites of the enzyme company Biocatalysts Ltd. in Cardiff, Wales. In fiscal year 2022/23, our approximately 330 employees at the international sites generated sales of EUR 55.3 million.
